If you have never before booked a ride with Onward or have only booked rides over the phone, this article is for you! We will walk you through how to book rides using the Onward website and apps so that you have complete control over your booking. But don’t worry, you can always reach us over the phone at (510) 771-7171 if you prefer to book over the phone.
1) Getting the App

2) Creating Your Account
The first step in the booking process is to create your account. Once you launch the app, click on the “Get Started” button. You’ll be asked to set up your password and add your contact information. You’ll then enter information about the rider, whether that is you or if you are setting up Onward for a loved one.
We will ask specifics about the rider, like if they have any impairments, so that we can give you the highest level of service.
3) Booking a Ride
After you have set up your account, you will be taken to your Dashboard. Click the “Book Transportation” button to book a ride.
4) What to Expect on Your Ride
After your ride is scheduled, you’ll get a reminder the day before the ride with your driver’s vehicle and contact information. Of course, at any time you can call the Onward Concierge Team at (510) 771-7171 with any questions.
Your driver will follow whatever directions you’ve specified as far as picking you or the rider up, but you can always be sure you will have a safe trip.
If you have booked the ride for someone else you’ll get updates throughout the ride (i.e., when they’ve been picked up or dropped off safely).
After the ride, you’ll have an opportunity to leave feedback and optionally leave your driver a tip if they did a great job. We look forward to being a service for you -- no matter how you book your trip!
